Telegrf Terms of Service
Effective date: November 5, 2026
1. Agreement to these Terms
By opening or using Telegrf, you agree to these Terms. If you don't agree, don't use Telegrf.
Telegrf is operated by Pantha Labs LLC ("Telegrf," "we," "us"), located in Miami, Florida. These Terms cover the Telegrf website at telegrf.com and telegrf.app, the Telegrf Android app, and any other Telegrf apps or services (together, the "Service").
Our Privacy Policy explains what information the Service handles. It is part of these Terms.
2. Who can use Telegrf
- You must be at least 18 years old (or the age of adulthood where you live, if that's older). Telegrf is not meant for anyone under 18, and we don't knowingly let them use it. If we learn that someone under 18 is using Telegrf, we may block their device and number.
- Not if you've been banned. You can't use Telegrf if we have blocked you, or if the law where you live doesn't allow it.
- Businesses: if you use Telegrf for a business, you confirm you're allowed to agree to these Terms for that business, and the business is bound by them too.
3. How Telegrf works
Telegrf connects your device directly to the people you choose to talk to. Knowing this helps you understand your rights and responsibilities.
- No accounts. You don't sign up with an email, phone number or password. Telegrf gives your device a temporary code, and you can also get a permanent Telegrf number.
- Direct connections. Messages, calls, video, photos, files and live streams go directly between devices. When networks block a direct connection, the data passes through a relay we operate. The relay forwards encrypted data and does not keep it.
- We don't store your conversations. We don't keep copies of your messages, calls, photos, videos or files on our servers. As a result, we can't recover anything you delete or lose, and we can't give you copies of past conversations.
- The phone book. To help devices find each other, our signaling server briefly passes connection details between devices that are online. It does not store them.
- Features run on your device. Translation and camera effects run on your device. For camera effects, your device downloads Google's face-tracking and hair-finding tools. Your camera images are not sent to us or to Google.
- Other people can save what you send. Anyone you talk to can screenshot, record, save or share what you send them. Only share what you're comfortable with them keeping.
4. Telegrf numbers, contacts, backups and ringing
- Your number. A Telegrf number lets people reach you without your code. It works only inside Telegrf. It is not a phone number and can't call or text regular phones.
- We own the numbers. We let you use a number, but you don't own it. You can't sell or transfer it. We may take a number back if it's used to break these Terms, impersonates someone, or is needed for legal or technical reasons.
- Who can ring you. You choose who can ring your number, and you can block people. Blocked devices can't ring you.
- Keeping your number. Your number is tied to your device. If you clear your browser data, lose your phone, or uninstall the app without a backup, you may lose your number and contacts, and we can't restore them.
- Backups. You can protect your number with a passkey (Face ID, fingerprint or screen lock) or a backup code. The backup is encrypted on your device before it reaches our server, and we can't read it. Keep your backup code safe: we can't recover it or reset it for you.
- Notifications. For ringing when Telegrf is closed, your device gives us a push notification address. We use it only to tell your device that someone is calling.
5. Active (going live), video calls and camera effects
- You're responsible for your stream. Everyone you let in can see and hear an Active stream or video call, and they can record it. Be careful what you show, including your home, your location and other people.
- Other people's permission. Don't stream, photograph or record anyone without their permission. Some places, including some US states, require everyone's consent before a call is recorded. Follow the law where you and they are.
- Who watches. You control who watches through your code and the "ask me first" setting. We don't promote or list streams publicly.
- Camera effects are for fun. Effects change how you look on camera, including parody cosmetic effects like bigger lips, new eye or hair color, or whiter teeth. They are jokes, not medical or cosmetic advice. Don't use them on someone without their permission, to impersonate someone, to deceive people, or to make content that harms or harasses others.
- No guarantees. Effects, translation and other features may not work on every device and may change or be removed.
6. What you may not do
You agree not to use Telegrf to:
- Harass, bully, threaten, stalk or intimidate anyone, or encourage others to.
- Share sexual content involving anyone under 18, or sexualize minors in any way, including by using camera effects on images of minors. We report child sexual abuse material to the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC) and to law enforcement.
- Send sexual or explicit content to anyone who hasn't clearly agreed to receive it, or to anyone under 18.
- Share intimate images of someone without their consent, or threaten to.
- Promote violence, terrorism, self-harm or hatred against people because of who they are.
- Break the law, help others break it, or sell illegal goods or services.
- Impersonate a person, business or Telegrf, or mislead people about who you are.
- Send spam, scams, phishing, malware, or unwanted bulk messages or calls.
- Collect information about other users without their permission.
- Infringe anyone's copyright, trademark, privacy or other rights.
- Interfere with, overload, hack or reverse-engineer the Service, its relay or its phone book, or get around our limits and blocks.
- Use the relay or phone book for anything other than Telegrf, or use bots or automated tools to use Telegrf without our written permission.
7. Safety, reporting and enforcement
- Your controls. You can decline connection requests, block devices and numbers, choose who can ring you, and leave any call at any time.
- Reporting. You can report a person or problem in the app or by emailing brianray@panthalabs.com. Because we don't store conversations, include screenshots or details if you can.
- What we may do. If we believe someone broke these Terms or put others at risk, we may warn them, limit features, block their device, network or number, or remove their access, with or without notice.
- Law enforcement. We may share the limited information we have when the law requires it, or when we believe it's needed to prevent serious harm. Since we don't store conversations, that information is limited.
- Emergencies. If you or someone else is in danger, contact local emergency services, such as 911 in the US.
8. Your content and our property
- Your content is yours. You own what you send through Telegrf. Because it goes directly to the people you choose, we don't claim any rights to it. You give us only the permission we need to pass it along, including through the relay when needed, so the Service can work.
- You're responsible for what you send. You confirm you have the right to share it.
- Telegrf belongs to us. The Telegrf name, logo and orange telegraph-key icon, the app, the website, the camera effects, and all their code and designs belong to Pantha Labs LLC. These Terms give you a personal, revocable, non-transferable right to use Telegrf for its intended purpose, nothing more.
- Open-source parts. Telegrf uses open-source software, including Google's MediaPipe (Apache 2.0) and PeerJS (MIT). These are covered by their own licenses.
- Feedback. If you send us ideas or suggestions, we may use them freely without paying you.
- Copyright complaints. If you believe someone used Telegrf to share your copyrighted work without permission, email brianray@panthalabs.com. Include what work it is, where it appeared, your contact details, and a statement that you believe in good faith the use isn't authorized. Telegrf doesn't host content, so we may be limited in what we can do.
9. Paid features and business accounts
Telegrf is free to use today. We may add paid features later, such as business numbers or premium effects. If we do:
- We'll tell you first. You'll see the price, what's included, and how billing works before you pay. Taxes may be added.
- Payment processors. Payments go through a third-party processor such as Stripe, under its own terms. We don't see or store your full card number.
- Subscriptions renew automatically until you cancel. You can cancel anytime, and it takes effect at the end of the current billing period.
- Refunds. Payments aren't refundable except where the law requires, or where we say otherwise at purchase.
- Price changes. We'll give you notice before a price change affects you, and you can cancel before it does.
- Business users are responsible for their staff's use of Telegrf and for following the laws that apply to their business, including consumer-protection and marketing rules.
10. Privacy, other services and emergencies
- Privacy. The Privacy Policy explains the limited information we handle, such as a random device key, your Telegrf number, encrypted backups, and basic usage counts that don't include message content.
- Services we rely on. Telegrf runs on services from other companies, including Cloudflare (hosting, relay and phone book), Google (face-tracking files) and jsDelivr (app files). Their outages can affect Telegrf, and their own terms apply to them.
- Not for emergency calls. Telegrf can't call 911 or other emergency numbers and is not a replacement for a phone service. Don't rely on it in an emergency.
- Internet and data. You need an internet connection. Your carrier's data charges apply.
11. Disclaimers, limits on liability and indemnity
Disclaimer. TELEGRF IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE." TO THE EXTENT THE LAW ALLOWS, WE DISCLAIM ALL WARRANTIES, WHETHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DON'T PROMISE THAT TELEGRF WILL ALWAYS WORK, BE ERROR-FREE OR BE SECURE, OR THAT TRANSLATIONS OR EFFECTS WILL BE ACCURATE. WE ARE NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR WHAT OTHER USERS SAY, SEND OR DO.
Limit on liability. TO THE EXTENT THE LAW ALLOWS, WE ARE NOT LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR FOR LOST DATA, LOST NUMBERS, LOST PROFITS OR LOST CONVERSATIONS. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ALL CLAIMS RELATED TO TELEGRF IS LIMITED TO THE GREATER OF WHAT YOU PAID US IN THE 12 MONTHS BEFORE THE CLAIM, OR US $50.
Some places don't allow some of these limits, so they may not all apply to you.
Indemnity. If you break these Terms or the law while using Telegrf, and someone makes a claim against us because of it, you agree to cover our reasonable costs, including legal fees. This applies to the extent the law allows.
12. Ending use, changes, disputes and contact
- Stopping. You can stop using Telegrf anytime, and you can release your number in Settings. We may suspend or end your access as described in section 7. Sections 8, 11 and 12 still apply after that.
- Changes to Telegrf. We may add, change or remove features at any time.
- Changes to these Terms. We'll post updated Terms at telegrf.com/terms with a new effective date. For important changes, we'll also give notice in the app. If you keep using Telegrf after a change takes effect, you accept the new Terms.
- Sorting out problems. If you have a problem with Telegrf, email us first at brianray@panthalabs.com, and we'll try to fix it within 30 days.
- Governing law and courts. These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Florida, USA, not counting its conflict-of-law rules. Any dispute goes to the state or federal courts in Miami-Dade County, Florida, or to small-claims court where you live if your claim qualifies.
- Other terms. If part of these Terms can't be enforced, the rest still applies. If we don't enforce a term right away, we can still enforce it later. You can't transfer these Terms to anyone else, but we can if Telegrf is sold or reorganized. These Terms and the Privacy Policy are the whole agreement between you and us about Telegrf.
